Job Title: Technical Administrator

Hours: Full Time – 9:00 – 5:30pm

Location: Shalford, Surrey

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

An excellent opportunity to join a fast growing, innovative, technology focused independent financial planning firm based in Shalford.

We are continuing to build a team of individuals who share the company’s passion for high quality, customer driven financial advice. The successful applicant will report to our Head of Paraplanning and Administration. Our administration team work closely with our financial planners and paraplanners.

Job Role:

  • Liaising with clients on the phone and via email/portal
  • Providing exceptional service to your allocated clients
  • Carrying out Valuation Summary Reports for client annual & mid-year review meetings
  • Updating Trust Registration Scheme and CRBOT Registration
  • Submission of Tax Returns and tracking invoices following completion by the financial planner
  • Preparing and sending the relevant documents and paperwork to clients
  • Tracking the return of client documents and paperwork
  • Processing advice recommendations for clients and liaising with providers to keep the client up to date throughout. This includes Protection, Pension Switching, Cash and Re-registration transfers, Fund Switches, Contributions, Withdrawals, DB SASS Transfers, BED and ISA’s/Sipp’s, Use of CGT Allowances
  • Ensuring the Backoffice system (IO) is kept up to date and tasks for processing recommendations are completed in a timely manner and checked
  • Meeting and greeting clients and providers when they are visiting the office for meetings
  • Covering post when the office administrator is absent
  • Assisting with mailings when in the office, for other admin members and wider team
  • Occasional project work with Admin Team Leader and Manager

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Some industry qualifications would be advantageous but are not required
  • 2+ years of experience working in the financial services industry
  • Previous administration experience
  • Use of Intelligent Office and Financial Express would be advantageous
  • Experience of transacting on a variety of provider platforms
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good IT skills; especially Word and Excel
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working
  • Ability to juggle tasks, prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Able to work to own initiative
