Oliver Chew: Running for a Cause

On the 21st April Oliver Chew, one of Harding's Financial Planners completed the iconic London Marathon.

Running in Memory of His Brother

Olly's motivation to lace up his running shoes came from a place of love and loss. His older brother, Tom, received exceptional care back in 2016 at the Primrose Hospice, an organisation that provides vital support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

The London Marathon: A Challenge and a Mission

On race day, Olly joined thousands of other runners, each with their own stories and reasons for participating. The London Marathon is renowned for its challenging course, winding through the city's historic streets, past iconic landmarks, and along the River Thames. Olly's determination pushed him forward, step by step, as he covered the 26.2 mile distance.


Raising Funds for Hospice UK

Olly's commitment extended beyond the finish line. He set an ambitious fundraising goal of £3,000 for Hospice UK, a national charity that supports over 200 adult and children hospices across the country. These hospices provide essential care, comfort and dignity to patients and their families during difficult times.

Through tireless efforts and the support of friends, family, colleagues and clients, Olly exceeded his target. His fundraising total reached an impressive £5,028, making a significant impact on the lives of those in need.


Inspiring Others

Olly's experience wasn't just about running; it was about making a difference. His dedication to honouring his brother's memory and supporting hospice care has inspired the whole team here at Harding Financial.

And as a team we are now busy planning a charity walk for our 2024 company charity, Alzheimer's Society.
